How to Set a Wallpaper on iPhone

Saving a wallpaper to your iPhone takes about thirty seconds. Here is the exact flow, plus a couple of tips so the image fits perfectly without being zoomed in.

Step 1 — Download the wallpaper

Open the wallpaper you like on PicLoy and tap Download (or press and hold the image, then choose Save to Photos). The full-resolution 9:16 image is saved to your Photos app so it stays sharp at any screen size.

Step 2 — Open the wallpaper settings

Go to Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper, then tap Photos and pick the image you just saved. You can also set it straight from the Photos app: open the image, tap the share button, and choose "Use as Wallpaper".

Step 3 — Position it and avoid the zoom

iOS often zooms a wallpaper slightly. Pinch with two fingers to zoom back out until the whole image is visible, then drag to position it. Because PicLoy wallpapers are already 9:16, they line up with the screen edge to edge with almost no cropping.

Step 4 — Choose lock screen, home screen, or both

Tap "Set", then choose to use the image on the Lock Screen, the Home Screen, or both. On iOS you can keep a detailed image on the lock screen and a calmer one on the home screen so your app icons stay readable.

Tip — Turn off Perspective Zoom

If your wallpaper shifts when you tilt the phone, edit the wallpaper and turn off "Perspective Zoom". This keeps the image perfectly still and looking exactly as you set it.
